VALENTINE'S DAY JITTERS

Valentine's Day is a day of celebrating love, whether with your friends or with your partner. If you're single, take this time to go out with single friends or family members and have a good time.
Celebrate your life the way it is. I know you dread Valentine's Day because of your single status, but look at it as a blessing in disguise. This is your moment to enjoy the single life, because you don't need a man or woman on your arm to look good. But just because you feel alone, does not mean you are lonely.
If going out with friends or a family member is not your thing, TREAT YOURSELF. Go out to dinner, catch a movie, and buy your own diamonds. Appreciate what you have, and that's a piece of mind, knowing that aside from this one day of love, you're not feeling any relationship woes.
Go hit a local club with other singles that refuse to sit around and mourn over their relationship status. Be your own Valentine, no one could know you or treat you better than you could.
Now if you're dating, do something special with your partner, not for your partner. Get creative this year and think outside the book. The whole dinner and a movie thing is played out. The both of you should have "safe" fun together. Yet at the same time, go a little crazy. Being spontaneous could also help spruce up this day of love.
Though you might feel that each and every day with your partner is special, Valentine's Day is the one day where you can truly go all out with your partner in solidifying your love. Why do you think more and more people are getting married on V-day? Whether you're single or dating, don't stress. Take in the moment and have an exciting Valentine's Day 2010.
