Four days removed from a one assist, 23 turnover performance vs. Kean, Rutgers-Newark (14-6, 4-4) came out firing against Ramapo (14-5, 5-3), overwhelming them for a 98-71 victory in NJAC play Wednesday night.

Deshawn Singleton scored his 1000th career point for the men's basketball team on Saturday in the Golden Dome. The game was eventually won by the Raiders over Stockton by a final score of 64-53.
Earlier in the week the Raiders and Ramapo put on an offensive exhibition that was won by the Raiders 98-71.
Late rally not enough against Stockton

A late rally, injuries and an inability to shoot from the field put the women's basketball team in a hole too deep to dig out of.
The Raiders lost their NJAC matchup to Richard Stockton 45-47. The loss is the team's sixth straight.
"We played pretty well," said Head Coach Kevin Morris after the game.

Courtney Vacca did all she could, but the Raiders dug themselves in too deep of a hole as they fell to Ramapo (8-11, 2-6) 54-43 in an NJAC game at home in the Golden Dome.
The Roadrunners took advantage of early sloppiness by Rutgers-Newark, as the parade of bricks and turnovers paved the way for a 15-2 Ramapo run.
Singleton stars as Raiders defeat Stockton

Rutgers-Newark senior forward Deshawn Singleton knew "all week" he was approaching his 1,000th career point, a goal of his since freshman year. On Saturday night at the Golden Dome, Singleton scored his 1,000th point and then some as the Scarlet Raiders defeated the Richard Stockton Ospreys 64-53.
