The powers-that-be at E.C.C. want its newspaper to jump at their command. The only way to avoid this interference by administrators is to establish policy and parameters that guarantee the most autonomy to the student paper.

Her message of equality was single-handedly trumped by her own inability to uphold the standards of diversity that she demands from everyone else.
